Bad Day

Yesterday was one of the worst days I have had in a while. I always have good days...well mostly, so today was out of the ordinary. I'll tell you about it. Everything was fine in the morning, I got ready for work, drove to work and started the day. I always do reading groups in the morning and that takes about an hour and a half, so it was about 10:30 or so when reading groups were over. And....I started feeling this crazy pain (round ligament pain, I guess it's called) and everytime I would move a leg or get up or anything it would hurt way down low underneath the large stomach, belly, whatever u wanna call it. So we go to computer lab at 11:00, and I walked the kids down there and man I just wasn't feeling well. By the way, I've had a terrible cold. ( I know the exact kid that gave it to me --Caleb-- he just coughs all over everyone and doesn't think a thing about it, until I rip him a part ) We go to lunch after computer lab and I'm still feeling this pain. It's getting really annoying by now. After lunch I realize I have gotta take these dang tights off....I had some new heather gray tights on and they were kinda cutting off circulation!! So i ripped those babies off and that helped. So picture me, I'm in a summer dress (my mom would not be proud of this) with a long sleeved shirt underneath it and some boots (with NO tights or leggings) ...I looked like a hag!! I didn't really care though.
The kids come back from recess and PE and music and it's about 1:30 and we are doing math work. All of the sudden, I start choking, on NOTHING!! I kept coughing and coughing and coughing and coughing and my face was red (well that's what the kids told me) and snot was running down my face and so I had to run out to the ADULT bathroom and blow my nose, take a couple deep breaths, and get some water! It was terrible. Anyway, that was not a fun day!! I hope I don't repeat that one any time soon!!

Gifts Already!!!! :)

I have already received some wonderful gifts for Abrisa and I thought I'd share them with you. The black baseball dress is from her grandmother, Debbie, and I'm sure she'll be wearing this all the time. The extremely cute halloween tidbits are from Karla!! a dear friend from Ada. She sent this gift a couple days before Halloween. Karla is the sweetest!! The group of all the different little items is from my mama....Abrisa's grandmother. All gorgeous pieces...but who would doubt that, my mom has great taste!! And the yellow Nike outfit is what Shaff and I bought the day we found out it was a girl...you'd think it would be pink, but no!! not pink...we went with a yellow NIKE shirt! pretty typical of us.

I am still alive...I just haven't written anything in a while. I have some pictures I am going to put up soon, so be watching for those and I go to the dr. today after work so I'll let you know how that goes!! I'm so glad Thanksgiving is this week!! I love Thanksgiving almost as much as I love Christmas ! :)

Her name!!!

I've told some of you, but haven't got to mention it to ALL of you!! We have picked out her name! Well, actually, we weren't sure what we were naming the baby if it was a boy, but we were SURE on the girl name, so we didn't really pick it out, we have had it for a long time. So that really worked out well, we didn't have to think at all about that!! Since Shaff and I are both Lebanese!!! :) we really wanted to use a Lebanese name somewhere and when one of the parent's name is SHAFF you've gotta have some odd names for your children (or at least DIFFERENT). Not that Shaff's name is odd, it's just different. No one else in the whole universe is named Shaff!! And Shaff likes it that way. And I do too. It's perfect for him :)
When Shaff and I first met, ....well maybe on our 2nd, 3rd, or 4th date (we moved quite quickly in our relationship ....i mean we started dating in August and got engaged the following October, so talking about baby names wasn't odd for a couple like us) we talked about baby names...or he did. He was so sure about his names for his kids, which is quite cute (of course it's cute, he's the cutest). He told me the girl's name and I wasn't quite sure about it, but as the years went by I have fallen in love with the name. it is music to my ears!! So her name (officially) will be ...no, is...
Abrisa Elizabeth Elkouri ....oh I love it!!
Abrisa was the name of Shaff's great grandmother. If you can't figure out how to say it, here you go Abrisa (Uh-bree-suh)!! Gorgeous!!

Second Bedding Choice (soo cute)

Here is the second one I like....don't look at the white actual BED...I want a dark dark brown bed (I like a couple at babys r us). Just look at the actual bedding...what do you think?? Do you like this one or do you like the bedding from my previous post?? I love them both...just can't decide.

It's a Girl

Wow!!!! It's a Girl! I can't believe it...for some reason I just thought it was going to be a boy so when she said "girl" I was like...are you sure? Are you sure there isn't another 'appendage' in there somewhere!!

When she was telling us what it was...she said,"here's an arm, here's a leg, there are the girl parts, here's another leg...blah blah"... I was like hold up lady, what did you say. She just went past it like it was no big deal!! weirdo!!

Anyway, we are really excited! I am so glad that Shaff is so excited about it! Even though pink is not his favorite color :) ...oh well!

One More Week

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it...I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.....

ONE MORE WEEK....ONE MORE WEEK!!! I can't believe it. It's almost here!! I am going to find out if my sweet baby is going to be a girl or a boy!!! I can hardly wait!!

Next Tuesday (27th) I have two doctor appointments. Shaff gets to come...yea! He'll get to meet the dr. I have an ultrasound at one appointment and then just a regular check-up at the other. (my ultrasound dr. is different than my normal dr.)

I'll keep you posted! I'm sure you all will hear from me somehow or another on Tuesday!

We find out Soon!!

I went to my dr. appointment on Monday and everything was great!! Dr. Hager said everything was just wonderful. I didn't have an ultrasound, they just checked for the heartbeat and it was lovely! She had all the results of another blood test to see what my blood type was and to see if I am able to get german measles or some german sickness...and I'm not so that's some more good news :)
We find out if it is a boy or girl on OCTOBER 27th!! Oh, I just can't wait. That's 27 days away! wow! I can't believe it! I actually have 2 doctor appointments that day, so Shaff and I are gonna take off work...which is exciting by itself. Okay, I've decided to put the belly/stomach/pooch pics up...you just have to wait until I figure out how to do it!! I had to weigh on Monday and I've gained 6 GOOD pounds...I can really tell...my pants are quite tight and I have only one pair of jeans that I can wear!! I shouldn't feel insecure and I don't at school because everyone knows I'm pregnant, but when I go somewhere where people do not know I'm pregnant, it just looks like I drink a lot of beer!! which I have really been trying to cut back on (just kidding! settle down).

Yay!

Yay!! It's Friday! The weekend is here. Man, do I appreciate weekends...I have been so tired lately.
On Monday (the 21st), I went and had an ultrasound!..like a real one where you get to see EVERYTHING!! I got to see it all up on this plasma TV! I saw sweet little hands and feet (2 of each :)), and the spine...and it was so neat!! I loved it! I also took a blood test to kinda see if everything is going good!! ..and they called me last night and said, "Everything looks Wonderful!" That was a nice feeling and what a great way to put it! Because of course it looks wonderful, this child will possibly ....wait NOT Possibly....will FOR SURE be the most gorgeous baby, human, creature every made! Right before Luci...I've actually never said that before because Luci has always been the most beautiful thing in the world, but she is really going to get beat out in this competition, but I won't tell her that! 'cause she'd be kinda pissed!
This coming up Monday (the 28th), I have another appointment. LOTS of Appointments, huh? Hopefully they'll tell me when my appointment will be to find out if it's a girl or a boy!! I can't wait for that one!!! I wanna know now!! I did take a picture of my profile stomach (i would call it a belly, but my mom doesn't really like that word...so I'll stick with 'stomach' for her sake) and I'm comtemplating posting it on here. I mean, let's be honest, it's not really the greatest picture I've ever taken.

1st Trimester is over

Well....yesterday I was 12 weeks pregnant. Therefore, I am finished with the first trimester! WOW!! I can't believe it...so that means I have 6 months to go! Yay!! I haven't written much lately, because I don't really have too much to say. I don't go to the dr. next until September 28th, so there is really nothing to update you on. If anything comes up, I'll definitely let you know!! Talk to you later :)

a Little bit of vomit, a little bit of dry heaving...

I'm still trying to figure out this darn blog thing...hopefully it looks okay! I'm not the most creative person in the world, as many of you know ;) ....well I've been so nauseated that every morning I have to wake up and dry heave or throw up or something....but I really am fine during most of the day.

The food cravings--I haven't had any..maybe that will come later, because I kind of think it's bullcorn!! Today at school I had to run out of the room for a quick dry heave and then run back in and pretend like I was fine. At around 9:00 every morning I pull out a sandwich in front of my 1st graders and chow it down and they always say "wow you must be starving! why are you so starving?" ...nerds :)

well I go to the dr in a couple weeks...I'll try and give you tidbits of info before then, but pray that it all stays great !! :)

dr appointment

Went to the dr. today and my mom came with me so that was wonderful!! we had a great day together :) we always do.

Everything went great ....i was nervous! I think I'll be nervous everytime I go for a while! but I had an ultrasound and got to see the little thing and got to see the baby's heart beat !! Yay!!

Okay, I'll keep you updated. Hopefully i won't be throwing up in the trashcans at school tomorrow...i did that last week and i'm telling ya, it's not fun to do b/c you have to keep changing trashcans b/c if you stay in the same one you keep smelling ...okay i'll stop that's gross!!

"With Child"

">WELL!!!! If you haven't heard by now....... I'm PREGNANT!!! yea!! SOO excited!! I still feel like i'm 15 years old and should be living at home with my mom and trey and nick, but I'm not....I"m a "Woman"!!

I just wanted to write this to let everyone know for sure that I am indeed 'with child' and to tell you that I"m going to keep you guys updated if you would like! I've had a couple requests to do an email list, but I thought this would be better! So....If you wanna be updated on everything I"m going to try and write as much as I can ...but bear with me...I don't usually do stuff like this!!

So first of all....my due date is March 30th and I have my 2nd ultrasound and dr. appointment on Monday (8/31).

After I have the appointment, I'll definitely let you know how it goes!!!
